Help is being offered to parents in the Dearne Valley, who are struggling to afford new school uniforms
Bolton Upon Dearne's Prospect Road Community Centre is being turned into a donation point for used jumpers, tops, trousers and skirts - they'll be handed out to less well off families.
The charity Restoration Beyond Belief is running the project. Claire Ashby is helping to organise it: "Last year [the project] snowballed as we realised how big a problem it is. Schools now are going for their own branded uniforms which is a bit of an issue as it makes it more expensive.
"We have had parents in tears because they are desperate for help. We have also had people in tears because we have been able to give them the help. They are just overwhelmed by the fact we have been able to give their child a pair of shoes that fit. People are more desperate than you actually realise."
Wentworth and Dearne MP John Healey is working with the charity - with his constituency office in Wath Upon Dearne also acting as a drop-off location.
