Exciting Plans For Elsecar

Proposals revealed to protect Elsecar heritage

Plans are underway to transform Elsecar - and protect it's heritage in future.

It's after archaeological discoveries were made - including a colliery entrance in a private garden and an Ironmaster's house - which dates back to the early 19th Century.

Plans include a state of the art Visitors Hub in the currently derelict ironworks building, footpaths to link sites and more independent shops.
