Cash boost for Barnsley dementia charity

Barnsley's dementia charity says it is 'thrilled' to have been granted almost £200,000 to keep it up and running.

BIADS will use the money to develop new activities for service users, as well as continuing with day trips, social groups and fitness sessions.

The cash has come from the National Lottery Fund.

Claire Golby, Services Manager said: “We are thrilled to receive this funding over the next three years as we know how much our members appreciate the activities we provide, and it would have been devastating if we had not been able to carry them on.”
