It’s Friday night – I’ve not had a power hour or even gone for quick drink after work. It was straight home, trainers on and back out of the door tonight.
After this morning’s slight panic about hills I figured it was time to make good on my word and hit the road.
The one good thing about street running is that there was no way I was stopping to walk - at least 3 friends drove past me and I would never have heard the end of it had I been enjoying a leisurely stroll.
I impressed myself by going further than I have before hitting the 8 k mark. Again I’d like to say it was easy but I write this from the comfort of my settee with my feet in a foot spa, I get the impression that my legs may be sore tomorrow.
I still need music to get me round the course in a little over 2 weeks time.
Here’s a reminder of this morning’s catch up on the Dearne FM breakfast show with Rod Archer
Will let you know how I get on over the weekend but for now I’m off for my power nap, Sarah x
