Barnsley Hospital cleaners will today lobby its Board of Directors over what they claim was wrongful dismissal
Barnsley Hospital cleaners will today lobby its Board of Directors over wrongful dismissal by private company Healthcare Initial.
UNISON wants the 15 cleaners to be re-instated or to be paid the correct redundancy payments.
Healthcare Initial has said they will not pay NHS redundancy rates despite it being part of their contract with the Hospital Trust.
Liz Mawson, Unison’s lead steward, is worried about the standards of the hospital after these job losses.
