10 children in Barnsley will be homeless on Christmas Day

Ten children in Barnsley will wake up on Christmas morning without a permanent home - according to Shelter.

Research found a nine percent increase in the number of homeless under 18's in Yorkshire and the Humber over the last five years.

Poppy Terry from the charity says many families are hidden away in hostels or BnBs - which are unsuitable for youngsters.
