Zak Abel - Everybody Needs Love

Zak Abel - Everybody Needs Love

20 year-old Zak grew up in North London. His mum met Zak’s dad while on a trip to Israel while he was selling fruit on the beach. His dad died when Zak was 12 and his mum was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when he was 3. Growing up he listened to James Brown, Stevie Wonder and Barry White, but it was Michael Jackson that sparked his imagination. Despite teaching himself to play piano it was table tennis that took much of his time. At 9 years-old he was the UK’s Number one player in his age group. He moved to France and played 5 hours a day, six days a week, but gave it up 5 year ago to pursue a music career. Returning to London he began uploading covers onto You Tube. Having messed up his exams he was given the choice of returning to school or signing a record deal. He chose music and has worked with Ivor Novello winner Eg White. ‘Everybody Needs Love’ is currently being used on a TV commercial for a supermarket. His video features his table tennis talents and was filmed in one-take
